Carer is qualified in Canine 1st Aid
Carer has experience of working with dogs and is competent in dog handling techniques.
Basic manners will always be encouraged for all dogs but especially puppies who are just starting out on their life’s journey with a continuation of their training taking place daily, in a friendly and fun environment.
BARF (Bones and Raw Food) can be stored adequately.
Separate feeding areas for those who like to eat alone.
Social interaction with other friendly dogs, but small in number so that it’s not over-whelming.
Cosy, quiet rooms to ensure restful periods in between walks and play sessions with additional TV / Radio, if required.
Separate rooms away from the resident dogs can be accommodated, if required.
Consent will always be sought before taking an owners pet out in the car.
Your canines will benefit from having a large garden to play in throughout the day, as well as enjoy some fabulous walks in open fields, woodland and country parks.
For those not allowed off-lead, open play sessions in a secure play paddock can be arranged so they can enjoy some much loved freedom to run and play to their hearts content.
Puppy training will be continued in line with your own at home rules and regulations.
For stay-overs of more than 5 days, specific socialisation walks can be arranged for those who are a little nervous around other dogs to help with confidence building.
Happy Hounds is mindful that some dogs can only have specific types of food and treats only, and therefore, the feeding routine will be followed in its entirety to avoid any unnecessary upset tummies.
Your pets likes/dislikes will be taken seriously and measures put in place to ensure they’re not over-whelmed or over-stimulated in a negative way. We understand the importance of being comfortable in new surroundings and we want them to have a Happy Hounds experience. Playtimes inside and outside of the home will be supervised with the aim of building a positive relationship.
